The Basic Bible Study Method

The Basic Bible Study method is the basic method that I use to study the Bible. It shows you how to approach a study of the Bible by laying out 7 steps. The steps are given in an specific order so that you learn not to put the cart before the horse so to speak. This is just a small part of studying the Bible, but it is a very important part. For instance. One common mistake is to immediately look at a commentary to find out the meaning of a passage or verse. This hurts your study in 2 ways. First it does not teach you to think for yourself about what Scripture teaches, and second, if the commentary is wrong then you just learned the wrong thing that you must now unlearn in order to get to the truth. There is a place to look at commentaries at the end of your study, but not while you are forming your own thoughts.

I teach the Basic Bible Study Method in a classroom format and as an interactive seminar. This is the first product that I have made available to the general public. There will be more to come as I have started to share the method through videos. You can see the first one here. "Memorize!" A Scripture Memory System
Most Scripture memorization systems have you carry around a bunch of review cards everywhere you go, in order to review them until you have memorized the verse. This "brute force" memorization approach is difficult to maintain, and is not interesting or fun at all. With Memorize! you learn the verse naturally and in accordance with how you actually acquire new information. Using methods for both short term and long term memory you will learn verses quicker and much better success. This is our second priority at the moment.

Young's Analytical Concordance To The Bible
Currently there is no analytical concordance available. This concordance is one of the best. It is especially good for word studies. It is in the public domain but there are no scans or free PDFs that Pilgrim's Light has been able to obtain. So Pilgrim's Light is working on making this available for free in a digital format. This is our third priority.
